Description
Charcoal Tea Tree Facial Soap is my answer to those who have requested a facial soap for oily skin. You can use it on your face and body. I’ve always had oily skin, so I would love to have been able to use this when I was a teenager!
I started with olive oil along with some other rich oils. In addition, I used tamanu oil, made from the tamanu nut and used in many products to keep your skin and hair looking and feeling young. I included activated charcoal, which gives it its color and helps to draw out impurities in the skin. And finally, I added tea tree oil whose properties regarding oily skin are pretty well known.
What’s the difference?
Some women have told me that my soap is the only one they’ll ever use on their face. That doesn’t surprise me. Most soap you buy is made with detergent, not with oils and butters. It’s the same reason that so many of my customers say that they don’t need to put lotion on right after they wash their hands or take a shower. That’s because I ‘superfat’ my soap to include extra oil and butter after the saponification process has occurred that turned it into soap. And this bar has specific ingredients targeted to problems with oily skin.
These are beautiful carmel-colored, handcrafted bars. The bars weigh a minimum of 3.5 ounces.
After washing your face and rinsing with hot water, then splashing with cool water, I personally love to apply just a bit of either About Face or Sensualeyes to moisture areas under the eyes, between brows, to the sides of the mouth, neck area, decolletage, and the backs of my hands. They do an amazing job of keeping these areas supple and moisturized! And if you’re over 40, Tranquility Luxury Facial and Body Bar is the one I would recommend for cleansing.
Usage tip
One thing you should know about my handcrafted soaps is that you should never leave them sitting in water. This will dissolve all those precious ingredients in no time. By the same token, don’t leave the soap sitting in the shower stream where it’s being hit by water. Same deal. Probably best to put it them on a rack so the air can circulate around it. And we sell soap dishes here.
