Description
Lately, I’ve been making some felted soaps. This Heart Vine Felted Soap will be the perfect addition to your shower or bath routine. I call these a Soap in a Blanket.
I made this with my Lilac Silk Soap, a favorite with my customers. I call it a soap in a blanket because I use wool to wrap the bar of soap and decorate it. So not only does it look nice and unique, but the soap lasts longer. It’s also a good at exfoliator, sloughing off dead skin cells and leaving your skin soft and renewed. In addition, the wool doesn’t hold any bacteria so it stays clean and free of mold.
And when the soap is gone, you can use it as a scrubbing pad! One that no one else will have!
All my felted soaps come with a wooden soap dish.
Usage tip
One thing you should know about these handcrafted soaps from Love from Santa Barbara is that you should never leave them sitting in water. This will dissolve all those precious ingredients in no time. By the same token, the soap shouldn’t be sitting in the shower stream where it’s being hit by water. Same deal. Use the wooden soap dish or put it on a wire rack so the air can circulate around it.
