I love so many floral scents, but I think my all time favorite is lilac. I know I’m not alone. My lilac soaps are well loved and I recently started making Lilac Solid Perfume. Another winner in my book. I made this Lilac Silk Soap even more luxurious with the addition of silk. My soaps leave your skin silky smooth anyway, but with the added silk, this one is even more so.
Made with a wonderful blend of pure oils, it has kaolin clay for its cleansing properties and a bit of Alkanet root that make the little wisps of lavender. This soap also has some jasmine buds sprinkled on top to set it off beautifully.
These are lovely handcrafted bars… the extra large flat bars weigh between 5 and 5.5 oz, and the vertical bars weigh between 3.5 and 4 ounces.
One thing you should know about these handcrafted soaps from Love from Santa Barbara is that you should never leave them sitting in water. This will dissolve all those precious ingredients in no time. By the same token, the soap shouldn’t be sitting in the shower stream where it’s being hit by water. Same deal. Probably best to put it them on a wire rack so the air can circulate around it.
