I never tire of going to the beach in Santa Barbara. Even driving by the ocean, I find myself inhaling deep breaths and my body relaxing. In addition to various types of gulls, the Santa Barbara coastal areas attract brown pelicans, large numbers of shorebirds (such as Blackbellied Plover, Willet, Whimbrel, Long-billed Curlew, Marbled Godwit, and Sanderling), egrets and terns.
