The perfect gift or luxurious guilty pleasure for shower and bath time!
I was recently asked if I could create a bath gel that was reminiscent of some of the scents in Santa Barbara. That was my aim was when I created my Tranquility Blend. Liquid soap reacts differently to essential oils than cold process soap and other skin care products. For this reason, I needed to come up with a different blend that smelled much the same. I feel I have accomplished that with my Tranquility Bath and Shower Gel. I love the scent.
My adventures into the world of liquid soap, which is MUCH different than cold process and quite complex, started with making a foaming soap. Then I went for it with the gel. I didn’t add any colorants, so the color of the gel is reflective of it’s contents… the essential oils and olive oil are what give it its golden color.
My Tranquility Blend has become a favorite of my customers. I accomplish a similar scent in this gel by using bergamot, geranium, lavandin, cedarwood atlas, and patchouli essential oils. These are all proven to work well with liquid soap and smell really good together. Some act as a base (not to be confused with base notes) which act as the essence of the blend. To that you can add other essential oils that act as blenders, modifiers, sweeteners and fixators. It’s much more complex than just coming up with the traditional top, middle and base notes.
So we’ll see how this new endeavor goes. If you’ve been jonesing for some beautifully naturally scented bath and shower gel, this could be the product for you to try. A little goes a long way, as it’s pretty concentrated.
I have two sizes at this point… a 4.5 oz clear bottle and an 8.5 oz blue bottle.
