Over a hundred vineyards are located in Santa Barbara County, from near the coast to the hills of the Santa Ynez Valley. Wine production began in this area in the 1960’s and has increased dramatically in the last decade. Much of Santa Barbara County was cattle ranch and horse country before the wine production began. Oak trees spotted the fields and hillsides where cattle grazed in what is now wine country.
There are several wine tours available, so do yourself a favor and call one of them instead of driving yourself and gauging how much wine you’ll be able to enjoy. Let someone else do the driving for you in style, like the guys at sustainablevinewinetours.com. They’ve received rave reviews and really know their stuff.
Postcards from Santa Barbara Greeting Cards have a beautiful, glossy finish and after adding your Wish you were here… Check out where I am… or witty greeting and a postcard stamp, they are ready to send off the traditional way… through the mail.
