I finally had the time to create some felted soap. This Heart Balloon Felted Soap will be the perfect addition to your shower or bath routine. It’s something I call a Soap in a Blanket.
I made this with my Honeysuckle Rose Soap, a favorite with my customers. I call it a soap in a blanket because I use wool to wrap the bar of soap and decorate it. So not only does it look nice and unique, but the soap lasts longer. It’s also a good at exfoliator, sloughing off dead skin cells and leaving your skin soft and renewed. In addition, the wool doesn’t hold any bacteria so it stays clean and free of mold.
And when the soap is gone, you can use it as a scrubbing pad! One that no one else will have.
All my felted soaps come with a wooden soap dish.
Word to the wise: don’t let this soap sit in water or be in a direct stream of the shower, or it will just melt away.
Honeysuckle Rose Soap Ingredients: Distilled water, Coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), Olive oil (Olea europaea), Sunflower Oil (Helianthus annuus), Sodium hydroxide, Shea butter (Vitellaria paradoxa), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis), Castor oil (Ricinus communis), Rose petals (Rosa), Himalayan pink salt (Sodium chloride), Rose clay (kaolinite), Kaolin clay, Fragrance.
Honeysuckle Rose is also a great jazz standard, and one that I happen to sing with my band. Makes perfect sense, right?
