Merlot Swirl Moisturizing Soap - Love from SB

New products coming!

Here at Love from Santa Barbara, there’s a LOT going on. You may have seen the photos on our Instagram feed. I have been soaping away and I’m creating lots of beautiful, yummy smelling soap. I’m using the Cold Process method, and with the formulas I’m using, you can clean your skin without drying it out. It moisturizes as it cleans, leaving your skin nourished and soft. Most soap you buy in the store is made with detergent. This soap has so many nurturing ingredients for your skin, some of which include… coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter. Different oils and butters have different properties after going through saponification. Some are good conditioners, some are good for bubbles, some for creaminess, some for cleaning.

The thing is, soap needs to cure for 4-6 weeks, so I’ve been busy getting multiple batches made up. I’ll also be creating some new sugar and salt scrubs in the near future. I have orders of supplies coming in regularly to keep stocked with what I need.

I’m really excited about the new products. I’ve been getting comments on my skin, that I look like I’ve just gotten back from vacation. It’s funny, I used to buy the expensive skin products in the department stores. Not anymore. I feel so good putting these products on my skin. I know everything that goes into them is good for me and there’s no mystery involved.

So hang on… there’s much more coming as soon as I can get it all labeled, packaged, photographed, entered as products with all the details on the website. I also have orders coming in, so please be patient. I should have quite a few more items up in time for Mother’s Day, and of course Father’s Day. I’m so excited to share all the colors, scents, luxurious textures, and skin loving ingredients!

    Hi Carol Ann,
Thanks for writing. Yes, it’s a tough time. I have a few things with me, but I’m pretty busy taking care of my mom. Let me know what you might be interested in when you have a minute. I have some things made up and a few things with me… not a whole lot.
    xo,
    Donna
